Staff Training
Carers will be trained and given the opportunity to achieve NVQ/QCF qualifications at different levels based on work experience and references.
All our carers complete an initial training process, which has been developed with our clients in mind.
Choices Healthcare is affiliated to staff development organizations, with whom we work hand in hand, for developing the skills of our work force. Choices Healthcare provides ongoing, in house training, covering the values of care, as well as safety in:
- Moving and Handling
- Medication
- Administration
- First Aid
Our training programmes which are also available to external people, whether individual people or organisations include: Confidentiality, Effective Communication, Good Customer Service, Management of Challenging Behaviour, Palliative Care, promoting Independence, etc. Please enquire if your training of interest is not listed.
For clients with more Complex and Specialist care requirements, Specific training will be given to care workers before allocation to duties in order to ensure that clients' individual needs are met.
